Ayyubid, al-Nasir Salah al-Din Yusuf I, Saladin, (AH 564-589 / 1169-93 AD), gold Dinar, al-Qahira, AH 580, two marginal inscriptions, and a central inscription in two lines, on both obverse and reverse, naming the Abbasid caliph al-Nasir, as commander of the faithful in the inner obverse marginal legend, and, on the reverse naming Saladin in the inner marginal legend as, 'âdil, al malik, 'âlim, salah al din, and in two lines at the centre, as Yusuf b. Ayyub, ["Joseph" son of "Job"], 5.06g, 8h (A 785.2). Good clear calligraphy, a few marks and probably ex-mount as most are, good very fine.
