Ayyubid, al-Nasir Salah al-Din Yusuf I, Saladin, (AH 564-589 / 1169-93 AD), gold Dinar, al-Qahira, AH 57X, three marginal inscriptions, and a central inscription in two lines, on both obverse and reverse, naming the Abbasid caliph al-Mustadi, as commander of the faithful in the inner obverse marginal legend, and, on the reverse identifying Saladin as al-'âlim, al malik, 'âdil,, al-nasir, in the inner margin and as Yusuf ibn Ayyub in two lines at the centre of the reverse ["Joseph" son of "Job"], 3.77g (Album 785.1). Good very fine.
