Richard II (1377-99), silver Halfpenny, London Mint, intermediate style, facing crowned bust within beaded circle, legend surrounding, +RICARD'x REX xx AnGL, rev. long cross pattee, trio of pellets in each inner angle, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, CIVI TAS LOn DOn, weight 0.47g (Withers type Ia(iii); N.1331b; S.1699). Toned, struck from a rusty obverse die, small rim chip, otherwise very fine.

The Latin legends translate as "Richard, King of the English" on the obverse, and on the reverse "The City of London."
