Q. Sicinius (49 B.C.), Silver Denarius. Mint of Rome. FORT - P R, diademed head of Fortuna Populi Romani facing right, rev. Q SICINIVS, III VIR, palm-branch tied with a fillet and a winged caduceus, in a saltire, a wreath above, 3.85g., 6h (Crawford 440/1; Sydenham 938; RBW 1555). Beautiful old iridescent cabinet tone, extremely fine and most attractive.
