Macedon, Eion (?) (c. 470-460 B.C.), Silver Diobol. Goose standing right, its head turned to left, on a decorated base, a lizard to left above, Θ (or a pellet?) below on left, rev. quadripartite incuse square, 1.05g. (Svoronos, HPM, pl. IX, 13; SNG ANS 273-4). A very good example of this issue, well-centred and struck, with dark patination, extremely fine.
