Lepidus and Octavian, Silver Denarius. Travelling mint in Italy, struck 43 B.C. LEPIDVS PONT MAX III V R P C, bare head of Lepidus facing right, rev. CAESAR IMP III VIR R P C, bare head of Octavian facing right, 3.65g., 12h (Crawford 495/2a; Sydenham 1323a; RBW 1752). Unusually well-centred for this issue, free of bankers' marks and struck on a broad flan, two clear portraits, lightly toned, nearly very fine, rare.
