Kushano-Sasanians, temp. Ardashir - Fīrūz I, gold Dinar in the name of Vasudeva I, uncertain Baktrian mint, c. AD 230-270, king standing facing, nimbate, diademed and crowned, head to left, sacrificing over altar and holding trident, flames at shoulder, filleted trident to left, nandipana to right, Brahmi letter to left, swastika between legs, rev. OHPO, Siva standing facing, holding diadem and trident; behind, the bull Nandi standing to left; tamgha to upper left, 7.97g, 12h (cf MK 692; cf ANS Kushan 1698). Good extremely fine with subtle patina.
