Kingdom of Thrace, Lysimachos (323-281 B.C.), Silver Tetradrachm. Mint of Kios, struck c. 287-282 B.C. Diademed head of Alexander the Great facing right, wearing horn of Ammon, a monogram below, rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ / ΛYΣIMAXOY, Athena enthroned left, holding Nike and resting her left elbow on a shield at her side; behind her rests a spear, a club on outer left, a monogram on inner left, a bow in bowcase (?) and a monogram in exergue, 16.95g., 12h (Thompson -; Müller -). Cabinet toning, very fine to good very fine and rare.
