Kingdom of Macedon, Philip II (359-336 B.C.), Silver Tetradrachm. Mint of Amphipolis, lifetime issue, struck 355-348 B.C. Laureate head of Zeus facing right, rev. [ΦIΛIΠ]-ΠOY, King on horse pacing left, wearing a kausia and a cloak, his right arm raised, M beneath horse's raised right foreleg, 13.89g., 10h (Le Rider 43 (D23'/R37); SNG ANS 467). Old cabinet tone, slightly short of flan on reverse bust very well-struck, extremely fine, a very good example of a lifetime issue.
