Judaea, Bar Kokhba Revolt (132-135 CE), Silver Sela. Undated, attributed to year 3 (134/5 CE). Paleo-Hebrew legend ('Simon'), tetrastyle façade of the Temple of Jerusalem, show bread table (or Ark of the Covenant) at centre, with semicircular top and short legs, a star above, rev. Paleo-Hebrew legend ('For the freedom of Jerusalem'), lulav with etrog on left, 14.45g.,12h (Mildenberg 84.4 (O12/R65), this coin; TJC 267; Hendin 1411). A superb example, with a beautiful cabinet tone, well-struck and good extremely fine, the Mildenberg plate coin.
