James II (1685-88), silver medal by John Roettier, 1685, perhaps a Naval or Military Reward, draped bust with long hair right, IACOBVS. II. DEI GRA. ANG. SCOT. FRAN. ET. HIB. REX., rev. classical trophy or arms, naval engagement beyond, GENVS. ANTIQVVM., 63mm, 103.6g (MI i 617/29; Eimer 282). Some edge bruises, and minor surface marks, rich, deep iridescent toning, nearly extremely fine.
