Isle of Man, George III (1760-1820), copper Halfpenny, 1786, laureate head right, date below, legend and toothed border surrounding, GEORGIVS III DEI GRATIA., rev. triskeles, legend surrounding, QVOCVNQVE . IECERIS . STABIT, weight 8.11g (KM 8; S.7414a). Toned well struck with underlying brilliance, of a different die variety to that normally seen with finer engraving and border beading, good extremely fine and rare.
The Latin legends on this coin translate as "George the Third, by the grace of God," on obverse, and on the reverse as "Whichever way you throw it, it will stand."
