Ireland, Hiberno-Norse Kings, Phase III (1035-60), silver Penny, draped bust left, two pellets before face, cross behind in field, blundered legend surrounding, rev. long voided cross with tri-crescent ends, pellet at centre, crude "hand" in two opposing quarters, legend with blundered Dublin mint signature (D&F 24; S.6132A). Attractively toned, with an excellent portrait, almost extremely fine.
