Ireland, Hiberno-Norse Kings, Phase III (1035-60), silver Penny, draped bust left, four small pellets in a square on neck, blundered legend surrounding, rev. long voided cross with tri-crescent ends, pellet at centre, crude "hand" in one quarter, reversed S in opposing quarter, tiny pellet in two opposing quarters, legend with blundered Dublin mint signature (D&F 24; S.6133). Attractively toned, with an excellent portrait, good very fine.
