Ireland, Henry VIII (1509-47), base silver, Sixpenny Groat, Dublin Mint, posthumous issue (1547-50), crowned bust of King looking three quarter right, beaded circles and legend surrounding, lozenge stops, HENRIC: 8: D: G: AGL: FRA:Z: HIB: REX: rev. long cross fourchee over quartered shield of arms, beaded circles and legend surrounding, initial mark harp, CIVI TAS DUB LINIE, weight 2.29g (DF 215; S.6488). Toned, weak in parts of legend as usual for this base issue, very good portrait for this issue, good very fine and rare.

The abbreviated Latin legends translate as on the obverse, "Henry the Eighth, by the grace of God, King of England, France and Ireland." and on the reverse as "City of Dublin."
