Ireland, Henry VIII (1509-47), silver Groat, first harp issue with Jane Seymour (1536-37), long cross fourchee over crowned quartered shield of arms, linear and beaded circles and legend surrounding, initial mark crown both sides, hEnRI C' VIII' D'x G'xx R' AGLIE'x, rev. crowned harp, crowned h to left for Henry, crowned I to right for Jane Seymour, beaded circles and legend surrounding, FRAnCExx DOmINVSx hIBERnIE'x, weight 2.65g (DF 202; S.6473). Lightly toned, good very fine and rare.

The abbreviated Latin legends translate as on obverse "Henry the Eighth by the grace of God, King of England," and continues on the reverse as "France, Lord of Ireland."
