Ireland, Elizabeth I (1558-1603), Base coinage of 1558, Groat, crowned bust left, type 1F, linear circle and legend surrounding, initial mark rose both sides, ELIZABETH. D. G. ANG. FRA. Z. HIB. REGINA., rev. crowned harp with eight strings, crowned E to left, crowned R to right, POSVI: DEVM: ADIVTOREM: MEVM, weight 3.00g (DF 243; S.6504). Usual patina of light corrosion, weak in parts has been graded by NGC as AU55.

NGC Certification 6321963-008, as of July 2022 currently the equal finest graded at NGC with one other coin.

The abbreviated Latin legends translate as on the obverse, "Elizabeth, by the grace of God, Queen of England, France and Ireland." and on the reverse as "I have made God my helper" a Psalm from the Bible.
