Ireland, Elizabeth I (1558-1603), fine silver Groat, 1561, second coinage, initial mark harp, crowned bust left, beaded circles and legend surrounding, ELIZABETH: D'.G.'A'. F'.ET. HIBERNIE. RE', rev. crowned shield of three Irish harps, date either side, beaded circles and legend surrounding, POSVI: DEVM: ADIVTOREM: MEV'., weight 1.39g (BCW HP-1C/a; DF.251; S.6506). Toned though flan irregular in shape and ragged in parts, some weakness otherwise almost very fine and extremely rare.

The abbreviated Latin legends translate as on the obverse "Elizabeth by the Grace of God, Queen of England, France and Ireland"; and on the reverse "I have made God my helper."
