Ireland, Edward IV (1461-83), silver Penny, sun and roses coinage (c.1478-83), type VII, Dublin Mint, crowned facing bust, rose to left of crown, sun to right, sun to left of chin, rose to right, beaded circles and legend surrounding, rev. rose at centre of cross pattée, sun with two roses in opposing angles, rose with two suns in other two opposing angles, beaded circles and legend surrounding, weight 0.42g (D&F 167; S.6396). Toned, short of flan as usual and weak in one part both sides otherwise a bold very fine, rare.
