Ireland, Edward IV (1461-83),silver Groat, light coinage (c.1475), Waterford Mint, crowned facing bust within tressure of nine arcs, G on cusp below possibly for Moneyer German Lynch, beaded circles and legend surrounding, initial mark pierced cross, EDWARDVSx DEIx GRAx DnSx hYBERn',rev.cross pattée, tri-pellets in each angle, two quarters with extra saltire, beaded circles and twin concentric legend surrounding, outer legend POSVI DEVmx A DIVTOR E'x mEVm, inner legend CIVI TAS W ATER FORD, weight 2.12g (DF 134 and note; S.6369C).Dark tone, relatively well struck for issue with clear details, a bold very fine for issue and rare.

The abbreviated Latin legends translate as on the obverse "Edward by the Grace of God, Lord of Ireland"; and on the reverse outer legend "I have made God my helper," a Psalm from the Bible; and on the inner legend "Town of Waterford."
