Ireland, Edward I (1272-1307), silver Penny, early issues (1279-84), Dublin Mint, type 1c, crowned head within triangle, two pellets below collar, cross before legend surrounding, +EDW.R. ANGL'. D NS. HYB',rev. cross pattée, tri-pellets in each angle, beaded circles and legend surrounding, CIVI TAS DVBL InIE, weight 1.33g (DF 65; S.6248). Toned with light die clash of reverse cross showing through on obverse, some surface marks, rarer than previous issue, about very fine.
The Latin legends translate as "Edward King of England, Lord of Ireland" on the obverse and "City of Dublin" on the reverse.
