Ionia, Ephesos (c. 390-325 B.C.), Silver Tetradrachm. Struck under magistrate Thrasymedes, c. 370-360 B.C. E - Φ, bee, with straight wings, rev. forepart of a stag right, its head turned to left, a palm-tree on left, ΘPAΣYMHΔHΣ on right, 15.29g., 12h (Kinns, Pixodarus Hoard, Class D, O51; BMC -). A very good example, well-struck and with a detailed and well-centred bee, light tone, about extremely fine and most attractive.
