Henry VI, first reign (1422-61), silver long cross Penny, Calais Mint, Rosette-Mascle issue (1430-31), facing crowned bust in beaded circle, initial mark plain cross, legend surrounding, beaded outer border,+hEnRICVS* REX◊ AnGLIE, rev. long cross pattée, tri-pellets in each inner angle, beaded circles and legend around, VIL <>LAxx CALI SIE*, weight 0.90g (N.1450; S.1865). Lightly toned, well struck with a hint of die clashing of reverse cross to obverse, almost extremely fine and pleasing.

The Latin abbreviated legend translates as "Henry, King of the England" and on the reverse "Town of Calais".
