Anglo-Gallic, Henry II (1154-89), Aquitaine, silver Denier, cross pattee within beaded circle, Latin legend and outer beaded border surrounding, +hENRICVS REX, rev. three line inscription with beaded outer border, cross pattee with annulet either side at top, AQVI / TANI / oEo, weight 0.89g (Elias 1; AGC 2 dies 1/a; S.8001). Some verdigris each side, struck a little off-centre, almost very fine, reverse a little better, scarce.
The Latin legends translate as "Henry, King" on the obverse and the Latin form of Aquitaine on the reverse.
