Gordian I (A.D. 238), Silver Denarius. IMP M ANT GORDIANVS AFR AVG, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust facing right, rev. SECVRITAS AVGG, Securitas seated left, holding a short sceptre, 3.22g., 12h (RIC 5; BMC 11; C 10). Broad flan, light toning over lustre, good portrait, extremely fine.
