Germany, Danzig 1-Groschen 1809, countermark on Prussia, Friedrich Wilhelm II silver Thaler, 1792-A, Berlin mint, bust right, countermark with Danzig Arms and date 1809, rev. crowned eagle with supporters, value ein groschen and mintmark M (Johann Ludwig Mayer, (Gdansk mintmaster 1808-12), 22.13g (AKS to 1; J to 53; Dav. 2599; J.25). Host coin good very fine, countermark extremely fine, excessively rare with no other example recorded.
