George VI (1936-52), brass Threepence, 1946, bare head left, initials HP on truncation for designer Thomas Humphrey Piaget, Latin legend surrounding GEORGIVS VI D: G: BR: OMN: REX F: D: IND: IMP., rev. three-headed thrift plant, denomination THREE PENCE above, date below (Peck 2388; S.4112). The key date of this series, appealing example with strong details, some nicks on obverse, slabbed and graded by NGC as MS62, very rare.

NGC Certification 6321118-002.

Calendar Year Mintage 620,700.

The Latin legend on obverse translates as "George the Sixth by the Grace of God, King of the Britons, Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India".
