George VI 1940 Maundy Set

George VI (1936-52), half-silver Maundy set, 1940, Four, Three, Two and One New Pence, each with bare head of King left, with raised HP for Humphrey Paget on right of truncation, legend and toothed border surrounding, GEORGIVS VI D: G: BR: OMN: REX F: D: IND: IMP: rev. crowned mark of value with date either side all within oak wreath (Bull 4309; ESC 2557; S.4086). Mottled uneven toning, mint state in red oblong fitted and dated case of issue.

The mintage for all four denominations for 1940 would produce 1,277 Maundy sets.
