George VI (1936-52),proof VIP Crown, 1937, struck in 0.500 silver, bare head left, tiny HP below truncation for engraver T. Humphrey Paget, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, GEORGIVS VI D: G: BR: OMN: REX, rev.struck en medaille, crowned quartered shield of arms, lion and unicorn supporters, K and G between legs respectively for engraver Kruger Gray, banner motto below DIEU ET MON DROIT, denomination and date below, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, FID: DEF: : IND: IMP, edge milled (Bull 4022; L&S 5; ESC 393A; S.4079).Practically as struck, with fully frosted lettering and design compared to the regular proof crown, has been slabbed and graded by NGC as PF64, very rare as a "VIP" issue struck in small numbers with more care and attention.

NGC Certification 8537437-010.
The Latin legend translates as "George the Sixth by the grace of God, King of all the Britains," on the obverse and on the reverse as "Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India." The French motto on the banner translates as "God and my right."

These VIP proofs most noticeably have a frosted white design and lettering in stark contrast to the background brilliant fields.
