George V (1910-36), gold Sovereign, 1931 P, Perth Mint, Australia, second smaller bare head left, B.M. on truncation for designer Bertram Mackennal, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, GEORGIVS V D.G. BRITT: OMN: REX F.D. IND: IMP:, rev. St. George slaying dragon with sword, WWP under lance, mint mark P at centre of ground-line, date in exergue, B.P. to upper right of exergue for designed Benedetto Pistrucci, edge milled (Bentley 877; McDonald 294; Hill 270; S.4002). An appealing example with strong residual mint lustre, graded by NGC as MS64.

The Latin legend translates as "George the Fifth by the Grace of God, King of the Britons, Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India."
