George V (1910-36), gold Sovereign, 1928 M, Melbourne Mint, Australia, bare head left, B.M. on truncation, GEORGIVS V D.G. BRITT: OMN: REX F.D. IND: IMP:,rev.struck en médaille, St George slaying dragon with sword, WWP under lance, Mint letter M at centre of ground-line, date in exergue, B.P. to upper right of exergue (Bentley 840; McDonald 287; Marsh 246 R2; S.3999). Toned, has been slabbed and graded by NGC as MS63, very rare.

NGC certification 6318075-009.

We note as of November 2021 that there is only one example of this coin graded finer at NGC, but at PCGS there are eight finer.

Calendar Year Mintage 413,208.

The Latin legends translates on obverse as "George the Fifth by the Grace of God, King of all the Britons, Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India."
