George V (1910-36), gold Half Sovereign, 1915, bare head left, B.M. on truncation, Latin legend surrounding GEORGIVS V D.G. BRITT: OMN: REX F.D. IND: IMP:, rev. St. George and dragon right, WWP under lance, date in exergue, B.P. to upper right of exergue (Hill 530; Bull EGC 1448; S.4006).Lightly toned, graded by NGC as MS65, the last London issue of the reign.

NGC certification 8221183-002 - we note this coin is currently the second finest graded at NGC with only one a step higher. Looking at PCGS they only have three coins graded finer and both services have collectively graded 162 pieces as of April 2025.

Calendar Year Mintage 2,042,747 the final year for the Half-Sovereign at London in this reign.

The Latin legends translates on obverse as "George the Fifth by the Grace of God, King of all the Britons, Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India."
