George V (1910-36), gold Sovereign, 1914 C, Ottawa Mint, Canada, bare head left, B.M. on truncation for designer Bertram Mackennal, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, GEORGIVS V D.G. BRITT: OMN: REX F.D. IND: IMP:, rev. St. George slaying dragon with sword, WWP under lance, Mint letter C at centre of ground-line, date in exergue, B.P. to upper right of exergue for designer Benedetto Pistrucci (Bentley 886; Bull EGC 1910; Hill 223; S.3997). An attractive example with light surface marks and red colour tone, graded by PCGS as MS64.

The Latin legends translates on obverse as "George the Fifth by the Grace of God, King of all the Britons, Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India."
