George V 1911 8-coin silver proof Set - Crown to Maundy Penny

George V (1910-36), Proof eight silver coin Set, 1911, Coronation year, silver Halfcrown, Florin, Shilling, Sixpence and Maundy Set, all housed in original Royal Mint dark blue cardboard packing case (S.PS13). Only the very lightest of hairlines few in number, the silver exquisitely toned, practically as struck and becoming rare in the UK market-place.

These silver proof sets were produced to celebrate the Coronation of King George V on 22nd June 1911, with a mintage of 2,243 sets which is over 500 less than the full "long" gold proof set. The cardboard packing case for mail out from the Mint is extremely rare!
