George IV 1830 copper proof Half-Farthing CGS UNC 82

George IV (1820-30), copper Half-Farthing, 1830, laureate head left, date below, legend and toothed border surrounding, GEORGIUS IV DEI GRATIA, rev. struck en medaille, Britannia seated right with trident and shield, holding branch, trident prongs and helmet plume clear of legend, emblems in exergue, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, BRITANNIAR: REX FID: DEF:, (Peck 1452 rev. B; S.3826). Toned, practically as struck, has been graded and slabbed by CGS UK as 82, very rare.

CGS UK certification 22660-HF.G4.1830.03.

The Latin legend translates as "George the fourth by the grace of God," and on the reverse as "King of the Britons, Defender of the Faith."
