George IV 1827 Third Farthing

George IV (1820-30), copper Third-Farthing, 1827, laureate head left, date below, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, GEORGIUS IV DEI GRATIA rev. Britannia seated right with trident and shield, emblems in exergue, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, BRITANNIAR: REX FID: DEF: (Peck 1453; S.3827). Patchy toning with a little lustre on obverse, near full lustre on reverse with a few tiny spots, uncirculated.

The Latin legend translates as on obverse "George IV, by the grace of God," and on reverse "King of the Britons, Defender of the Faith."
