George IV (1820-30), gold Sovereign, 1826, second bare head left, date below, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, GEORGIUS IV DEI GRATIA, rev. crowned quartered shield of arms, BRITANNIARUM REX FID: DEF:, edge milled, 7.98g (Bentley 19; Hill 11; S.3801). An appealing example with good residual mint lustre, some bagmarks in obverse field, graded by NGC as MS62.

The Latin legends translate to on obverse "George the Third by the Grace of God," continuing on the reverse as "King of the Britons, Defender of the Faith."
