George IV (1820-30), gold Half-Sovereign, 1825, first laureate head left, B.P. for Benedetto Pistrucci below neck, legend and toothed border surrounding, GEORGIUS IIII D: G: BRITANNIAR: REX F:D: rev. second crowned quartered shield of arms, with a crowned escutcheon of the Arms of Hanover, emblems below, ANNO to left, 1825 to right, weight 3.98g (Hill 406; Bull EGC 994; MCE.485; S.3803). Lightly toned, a few tiny marks and nicks, good extremely fine and very rare.

Calendar year mintage of 761,150.

The Latin legends translates on obverse as "George the Fourth by the Grace of God, King of the Britains, Defender of the Faith," and on reverse as "in the year 1825."
