George IV (1820-30), gold Half-Sovereign, 1825, first laureate head left, B.P. for Benedetto Pistrucci below neck, legend and toothed border surrounding, GEORGIUS IIII D: G: BRITANNIAR: REX F:D:, rev. second crowned quartered shield of arms, with a crowned escutcheon of the Arms of Hanover, emblems below, ANNO to left, 1825 to right (Hill 406; S.3802). Lightly toned, a few light nicks and surface marks, has been graded and slabbed by PCGS as MS64.

PCGS certification 206588.64/44802502 with Salton Collection label.
We note as of November 2022 that a total of 84 Half Sovereigns of 1825 have been graded across both services with only five finer than this coin.

Calendar year mintage of 761,150.

The Latin legends translate to on obverse "George the Fourth by the Grace of God King of the Britains, Defender of the Faith."
