George IV (1820-30),gold Sovereign, 1824, first laureate head left, B.P. for Benedetto Pistrucci below neck, legend and toothed border surrounding, GEORGIUS IIII D: G: BRITANNIAR: REX F:D:,rev. St George and dragon right, date in exergue, B.P. to upper right of exergue, WWP on ground line below lance for William Wellesley Pole, edge milled (Bentley 15; Marsh 8; Bull EGC 964; S.3800). Rich lustrous toning with mirrored fields and a bold comprehensive portrait, with a few light hairlines and surface marks, graded by PCGS as MS62.

Calendar year mintage 3,767,904.

The Latin legends translates on obverse as "George IV by the Grace of God, King of the Britains, Defender of the Faith."
