George IV 1824 Half-Sovereign, scarce date for denomination

George IV (1820-30), gold Half-Sovereign, 1824, first laureate head left, B.P. for Benedetto Pistrucci below neck, legend and toothed border surrounding, GEORGIUS IIII D: G: BRITANNIAR: REX F:D:, rev. second crowned quartered shield of arms, with a crowned escutcheon of the Arms of Hanover, emblems below, ANNO to left, 1824 to right, weight 3.66g (Marsh 405 R2; Bull EGC 992; S.3802). Lightly toned, with surface marks and nicks, a bold very fine.

Calendar year mintage of 591,538.

The Latin legends translates on obverse as "George the Fourth, by the Grace of God, King of the Britains, Defender of the Faith," and on reverse as "in the year 1824."
