George IV (1820-30), gold Sovereign, 1821, first laureate head left, B.P. for Benedetto Pistrucci below neck, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, GEORGIUS IIII D: G: BRITANNIAR: REX F:D:, rev. St. George and dragon right, date in exergue, B.P. to upper right of exergue for designer and engraver Benedetto Pistrucci, raised WWP on ground line below lance for Master of the Mint William Wellesley Pole, edge milled, weight 8.01g (Bentley 12; Marsh 5; Bull EGC 959; S.3800). Lightly toned with some hairlines, underlying brilliance, extremely fine, was formerly graded by PCGS as MS61, since released.

Was graded previously as PCGS Certification 206891.61/838944555.

The Latin legend translates as "George the Fourth by the Grace of God, King of the Britons, Defender of the Faith."

Calendar year mintage 5,356,787.
