George III (1760-1820), gold Sovereign, 1820, short date figure arrangement under second laureate head right, finer engraved hair, Latin legend and border surrounding, GEORGIUS III D: G: BRITANNIAR: REX F: D:,rev.St. George and the Dragon right with broken lance, garter surrounding with Old French motto, HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE, edge milled, weight 7.87g (Marsh 4A; M.C.E. 466; Bentley 388; S.3785C).Toned with some wear both sides, good fine and the rarest date variety.

Calendar Year Mintage 931,994.

The Latin legend on the obverse translates as "George the Third by the Grace of God, King of the Britons, Defender of the Faith", and the Old French legend on the reverse Garter as "Shame on he who thinks ill of it".
