George III (1760-1820), gold Sovereign, 1820, closed 2, neat date arrangement under second laureate head right, finer engraved hair, ascending colon in legend, rev St George slaying dragon right with broken lance, weight 7.99g (Marsh 4B R; M.C.E.466; Bentley 8; S.3785C). Lightly hairlined both sides with some tiny scuffs evident, toned extremely fine.
