PENSE. initials of William Wellesley Pole "WW P" incuse on left shield border, incuse W on right shield border for engraver Thomas Wyon, BRITTANIARUM REX FID: DEF:, weight 14.18g (Bull 2090; ESC 616; Davies 60; S.3788). Toned extremely fine.
The Latin legends translate to on obverse "George III by the Grace of God," and on the reverse as "King of the Britains, Defender of the Faith." With the French legend on reverse translating as "Evil to him, who evil thinks."
