George III (1760-1820), gold Third Guinea, 1803, second type, first laureate head right, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, GEORGIVS III DEI GRATIA. rev. large crown, date below crown, legend surrounding commencing at top, + BRITANNIARUM REX FIDEI DEFENSOR (Schneider 625; Bull EGC 873; MCE 455; S.3739). Toned, with some light surface marks, hairline on reverse, has been graded and slabbed by NGC as MS63, the last year for the type.

NGC certification 3728329-020

The legends translate as on obverse "George III by the grace of God" and on the reverse "King of the Britons, Defender of the Faith"
