George III (1760-1820), gold Third Guinea, 1803, second type, first laureate head right, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, GEORGIVS III DEI GRATIA. rev. large crown, date below crown, legend surrounding commencing at top, + BRITANNIARUM REX FIDEI DEFENSOR (Schneider 625; EGC 873; MCE 455; S.3739). Lightly toned, the last year for the type, graded by PCGS as MS63.

PCGS Certification 610039.63/41821028.

The Latin legends translate as on obverse "George III by the grace of God" and on the reverse "King of the Britons, Defender of the Faith."
