George III (1760-1820), gold Third Guinea, 1802, second type, first laureate head right, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, GEORGIVS III DEI GRATIA. rev. large crown, date below crown, legend surrounding commencing at top, + BRITANNIARUM REX FIDEI DEFENSOR, weight 2.78g (MCE 454; S.3739). Toned, extremely fine.

The Latin legends translate as on obverse "George III by the grace of God" and on the reverse "King of the Britains, Defender of the Faith,"
