George III (1760-1820),gold Third Guinea, 1799, first type, first laureate head right, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, GEORGIVS III DEI GRATIA.,rev. large crown, date in legend surrounding commencing at lower left, . MAG. BRI. FR. ET. HIB. REX., weight 2.75g (Schneider 624; MCE 451; S.3738; EGC 869 R3).Lightly toned, with surface marks and light scratches, almost very fine and extremely rare, the hardest date of this type of Third Guinea to find, the second rarest date of the denomination.

The Latin legends translate as on obverse "George III by the grace of God" and on the reverse "King of Great Britain, France and Ireland."
