George III (1760-1820), copper Penny, 1797, small laureate and draped bust right, K:. raised on truncation for engraver C H Kuchler, wreath with ten leaves, legend incuse on raised rim, GEORGIUS III. D: G. REX. rev. Britannia seated left on rock with trident and shield, holding olive branch, ship sailing right to left, SOHO raised on rock below, tri-pellets incuse on rock to right, date incuse on rim below, BRITANNIA. (Peck 1132; S.3777). Toned, good extremely fine.

The Latin legends translate as on obverse "George III, by the grace of God, King" and on the reverse "of Britain"
